You say you want a wild and wacky photograph from the streets of Beijing? How about this one, which shows two people paid to attract attention to a restaurant near my hotel: a jovial chef and an attractive lady? (They're only part of the story: there was another, different-looking chef and an additional lady.)

The man on the left appears to be smacking the chef with a newspaper, but I'm not sure if that's what was actually going on.

More news from China when I get a chance to sit down for more than a few minutes...
