Well, I arrived safely in Tokyo, where I'm staying in a hotel next door to a structure that looks almost exactly like the Eiffel Tower. Very confusing. Depending on how today's California recall goes, I may or may not come home, although the prospect of a Red Sox-Yankees ALCS is heartening.
