I'm back from Tokyo, but still catching up. Here are some more moments, including a KFC sidewalk ad for figures of Colonel Sanders dressed in the uniform of the Hanshin Tigers, a girl at Tokyo Disneyland dressed as Dale (the park encourages guests to come garbed as their favorite Disney characters), a crane machine in the Akihabara district full of dolls of Marie from The Aristocats (which seems to have a following in Japan), a crowd outside Sofmap (which, at only three floors, is not among the larger anime/manga/pop culture stores), and a women dressed as Goldilocks (or perhaps Heidi), with panda hand puppet, who is promoting a giant Sega arcade.
