Another new/old item is up on the site: My landmark article on those wonderful animation restaurants from the golden age. (This has been up on Apatoons.com for awhile, but I've reformatted it and made it an official part of this site.) I worked really hard on it three years ago, so I hope some folks who haven't seen it yet happen across it here.

In other news: Two of the best animation sites on the Web have undergone spiffy redesigns: Jerry Beck's Cartoon Research and Amid Amidi's Animation Blast. I suspect that lots of you check these sites just about daily, but if you don't--stop by and see their new look and feel.

Jerry's site also has sad news: Ernie Pintoff has passed away.

One other note aimed at anyone who runs a personal Web site: The free Atomz search engine that I use on my site is just terrific--one of the best Web freebies left. It's easy to set up and amazingly customizable--if your site's not searchable, you owe it to yourself and your visitors to take a look.
